CFP: DesignMED Call For Abstracts

The deadline to submit abstracts for 60-minute, application/technology-based classes/tutorials at DesignMED 2011 is Friday, October 29, 2010.

The technical program at DesignMED will consist of approximately 30 classes/tutorials.

The tracks which may interest you are

Personal and Home Healthcare: This tracks wraps up many of the technologies covered in other tracks, like wireless/networking, safety and security, and human-computer interfaces. Personal and home healthcare ranges from inexpensive battery-powered devices found in the local pharmacy to high-end monitoring devices that talk (either through a wire or wirelessly) to some larger monitoring system. Hence, the discussions will include low-power design, techniques for disposable devices, and tele-health.

Wireless/Networking: This track will cover all the wired and wireless technologies/protocols that are being (and) implemented for medical devices, as well as those that may be deployed in the future. In addition to covering remote patient record access, classes may cover topics such as Bluetooth, ZigBee, IPv6, 6LowPAN, other protocol standards, etc. It will also touch on the related security aspects.
